Applications are open for two new positions at the BBF under the Bristol Bay Rural Health Pathways Fellowship program. These positions are contingent upon funding through the Rural Health Transformation Program grant. Upon award, these positions are anticipated to be funded for an initial 12-month period, with the opportunity for continuation based on continued grant funding and program needs.

This Fellowship program is a new, grant-funded program that we anticipate will begin in Fall 2026. It will deliver meaningful cultural and workforce development opportunities for participants who want to strengthen healthcare and uplift wellbeing in Bristol Bay. To manage this program, we are searching for passionate, focused staff to fill two roles:

Rural Health Pathways Program Manager

The Rural Health Pathways Program Manager provides strategic leadership for the Bristol Bay Rural Health Pathways Fellowship and oversees all aspects of Fellowship operations, including strategic planning, partnership development, grant management, program evaluation, budgeting, and supervision of the Rural Health Pathways Program Coordinator.

Rural Health Pathways Program Coordinator

The Rural Health Pathways Program Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day implementation and participant experience of the Bristol Bay Rural Health Pathways Fellowship. Working under the direction of the Rural Health Pathways Program Manager, this position coordinates recruitment, onboarding, mentorship, Fellowship programming, participant support, and workforce development activities throughout the program year.

Port Heiden Community Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Coordinator to support our Teaching Culture, Honoring Heritage: Bristol Bay’s Native Language Empowerment Collaborative (TC2H) project.  This individual will oversee and implement language and cultural initiatives aligned with the foundation’s goals. In close collaboration with partners, schools, and tribes, the Community Coordinator will administer and deliver culturally responsive enrichment activities that celebrate local traditions and integrate them into academic and extracurricular settings.

This position is central to planning and implementing Immersive After-School Activities in Port Heiden. These activities will bring together students, families, educators, elders, and community members to promote intergenerational learning and cultural vitality. The Coordinator must be on-site in the community of Port Heiden.
