Communications Manager
The Communications Manager is a mid-level professional responsible for supporting BBF’s communications efforts, including managing external and internal communications, websites, and social media. The position also manages communications vendors and ensures consistent, effective messaging across all platforms. This role plays a critical part in advancing BBF’s scholarship and grant-funded initiatives by developing and implementing communication strategies that meet grant deliverables, elevate program visibility, and strengthen community engagement. The Communications Manager will collaborate closely with the Program and Scholarships teams to promote grant or education initiatives.
Board, Events and Operations Coordinator
The Board, Events & Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the governance, communications, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Bristol Bay Foundation (BBF). This position is responsible for coordinating board and committee logistics, managing internal and external communications, organizing mission-forward events, and overseeing essential office functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to creating meaningful experiences that reflect BBF’s values and strengthen relationships with board members, donors, partners, and the broader Bristol Bay community.
Community Coordinators (Up to six positions)
We are seeking dedicated and passionate TC2H Community Coordinators to support our Teaching Culture, Honoring Heritage: Bristol Bay’s Native Language Empowerment Collaborative (TC2H) project. These individuals will oversee and implement language and cultural initiatives aligned with the foundation’s goals. The Community Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening connections between Alutiiq communities, schools, and teachers through the Cultural Enrichment Program. In close collaboration with partners, schools, and tribes, the Community Coordinator will administer and deliver culturally responsive enrichment activities that celebrate local traditions and integrate them into academic and extracurricular settings.
This position is central to planning and implementing Immersive After-School Activities across seven communities, totaling 35 activities annually and 105 activities over two years. These activities will bring together students, families, educators, elders, and community members to promote intergenerational learning and cultural vitality. Locations are: Port Heiden, Pilot Point, Perryville, Chignik Lake, Chignik Lagoon, and Chignik Bay.
