Youth Board Member Position

Pilot Program - Now Open

The Bristol Bay Foundation is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to participate in the Youth Board Pilot Program, a two-year initiative designed to bring youth perspectives directly to the Bristol Bay Foundation Board of Directors. The program seeks to uplift youth voices within the Foundation’s leadership while also supporting the professional growth of Youth Board Member.

By engaging youth in leadership and decision-making, the program strengthens the Foundation’s ability to serve future generations while helping cultivate upcoming leaders in the Bristol Bay community.

The application deadline is July 1st, 2026. All application materials should be emailed to bbf@bristolbayfoundation.org. This exciting two-year, voluntary role will start Fall 2026.

    • Learn the mission, policies, programs and needs of the Bristol Bay Foundation

    • Faithfully read and understand the BBF financial statements

    • Serve as an active advocate and ambassador for the organization and fully engage in partnerships necessary for BBF to advance its mission

    • Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to achieve BBF’s mission

    • Prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in each quarterly board meeting

    • Participate in one or more committees

    • Offer feedback on the Pilot Program for future growth

    • BBNC shareholder/descendant between the ages of 18-26 at the Program start date

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Resume

    • Letter of recommendation (not from immediate family member)

    • Essay describing why the applicant is interested and what they hope to learn from the experience (500-750 words)

    • Completed application materials are sent to bbf@bristolbayfoundation.org‍ ‍by July 1st, 2026.
